These small ear studs, measuring 8mm in diameter, are handmade from sterling silver and 24-carat gold. They are created using the ancient Korean technique known as Keum boo, which involves fusing gold into pure silver at high temperatures, in this case, incorporating gold crosses. Intricate symbols and letters have been hand-punched into the silver, resulting in an interesting surface pattern, while the ear studs have been oxidized to enhance the visibility of the gold crosses. The ear backs and posts are crafted from sterling silver.

These Keum boo ear studs are coated with a clear protective finish and are presented in one of our branded gift boxes. We showcase and sell this collection of jewellery at esteemed Craft and Design centres and Art galleries across the U.K., as well as during the Dazzle contemporary jewellery exhibitions.
