These unique halved earrings are handmade from sterling silver and 24 carat gold. We make two pairs of similar scribed earring and these are the smaller pair, measuring 23mm in diameter when the two halves are together. The earrings are slightly domed in shape and the technique used is an ancient Korean one, called Keum boo, where gold is fused to silver at high temperature. They have geometrical shapes scribed into the surface to give the appearance of antique nautical instruments, they have also been given a worn, aged effect, to simulate the look of an antiquated found object. These earrings hang on a pair of sterling silver ear wires, which are also made by us.
These contemporary, Keum boo halved earrings have been finished with a clear, protective, anti-tarnish coating and they come in one of our branded gift boxes.
We exhibit and sell our jewellery through quality Craft/Design centres and Art galleries throughout the U.K. as well as through the Dazzle contemporary jewellery exhibitions. We also feature on the U.K. Crafts Council directory of makers.
