Product Description

These unique, halved ear studs are handmade from sterling silver and 24 carat gold, they are slightly domed in shape and they measure 23mm in diameter when the two halves are together. The technique used is an ancient Korean one called Keum boo, where gold is fused to silver at a high temperature. The surface of the ear studs have been scribed to give the impression of an antique nautical instrument and letters and symbols have been deeply punched into the silver by hand. The surface has also been given a worn effect to simulate the look of an antique found object. The ear posts and backs are made from sterling silver and we also make similar scribed earrings.

These handmade studs have been finished with a clear, protective, anti-tarnish coating and they come in one of our branded gift boxes.

We exhibit and sell our jewellery through quality Craft/Design centres and Art galleries throughout the U.K. as well as through the Dazzle contemporary jewellery exhibitions. We also feature in the Crafts Council's Directory of Makers.
