These contemporary ear studs are made from sterling silver and 24ct gold, they are slightly domed in shape and measure 13mm in diameter. The technique used is an ancient Korean one called Keum boo, where gold is fused to silver at a high temperature. Letters and symbols have been deeply punched into the surface by hand, the ear stud have been oxidised and then highly polished to emphasize the embossed markings. The ear backs and posts are made from sterling silver. We also make a similar pair but in a concave shape.
These small Keum boo ear studs have been finished with a clear, protective, anti-tarnish coating and they come in one of our branded gift boxes.
