This horse brooch is inspired by the legendary Pegasus, the winged horse of myth. Dawn completed the design in her notebook, which was subsequently hand-carved in modelling wax. A mould was created from the finished sculpted wax horse, followed by a cast in sterling silver. The silver brooch is then oxidised, and the elevated surfaces are polished to highlight the shape and textures of the horse's body and wings. Our signature stamp and a 925 sterling silver mark can be found on the back of the brooch. We also create a Unicorn brooch using similar methods. This Pegasus brooch is finished with a clear, protective anti-tarnish coating.
