These small stud earrings are 8mm in diameter and they are made from sterling silver and 24 carat gold. They have been designed and made in our workshop in Yorkshire. The technique used is an ancient Korean one called Keum boo, where gold is fused to silver at a high temperature, in this case a gold cross. Letters and symbols are deeply punched into the surface of the silver by hand, the ear studs are oxidised and then polished to emphasize the markings. The ear posts and backs are made from sterling silver. We also make a similar pair that are oxidised, which accentuates the gold crosses.
These silver and gold ear studs have been finished with a clear, protective, anti-tarnish coating and they come in one of our branded gift boxes.
We exhibit and sell our jewellery through quality Craft/Design centres and Art galleries throughout the U.K as well as through the Dazzle contemporary jewellery exhibitions. We also feature on the U.K. Crafts Council directory of makers.
Bought these lovely earrings as a Christmas present for my daughter. I knew she had bought peices of jewellery from John &Dawn Field before and thought she would like these particular earrings. She was so delighted with them, they where so lovely and pretty. Would definitely buy from J&D Field again, they were so helpful and delivery was exceptional.
