These contemporary earrings are handmade from sterling silver and 24 carat gold. The technique used is an ancient Korean one called Keum boo, where gold is fused to silver at a high temperature. Letters and symbols have been punched into the surface by hand and the surface of the earrings has been given a worn effect to simulate the look of an antique found object. They are slightly domed in shape and hang on sterling silver ear wires, which have also been made by us. These unique drop earrings are the larger of two similar halved scribed ones that we make.
These Keum boo silver and gold earrings have been finished with a clear, protective, anti-tarnish coating and they come in one of our branded gift boxes.
We exhibit and sell our jewellery through quality Craft/Design centres and Art galleries throughout the U.K. as well as through the Dazzle contemporary jewellery exhibitions. We also feature in the Craft Council's Directory of Makers.
