Product Description

These contemporary ear studs are handmade by us in our workshop in Yorkshire. They are made from sterling silver and 24-carat gold and are slightly domed in shape. When placed together, they measure 23mm in diameter. We love using the theme of halving earrings, which can be found in many of our ranges, including John's one-off pieces. The technique we use is an ancient Korean method called Keum boo, where gold is fused to silver at high temperatures. Letters and symbols have been hand-punched into the silver, and the ear studs have been given a worn effect to simulate the look of an antique or archaeological found object.

These asymmetrical ear studs have been treated with a clear, protective, anti-tarnish coating and come in one of our branded gift boxes. We exhibit and sell our work through quality craft/design centers and art galleries throughout the U.K., as well as through the Dazzle contemporary jewelry exhibitions. We are also featured in the Craft Council's Directory of Makers."
