This handmade brooch has been designed and made by us in our workshop in Yorkshire. It is made from sterling silver and 24 carat gold, it is slightly domed in shape and it features a lovely 5mm faceted, light purple Amethyst gemstone. This brooch is made in the ancient Korean technique of Keum boo, where the gold is fused into the silver at a high temperature. Lines have been scribed onto the surface along with punched symbols to represent ancient nautical instruments or an archaeological find.

We offer a choice of three faceted gemstones to choose from, which are, Peridot, Cubic zirconia and Amethyst. This brooch works well as a commissioned piece, as we can punch numbers, for example for a 60th birthday, into the design and maybe add a birthstone, please contact us if you have an enquiry.

This Keum boo contemporary brooch has been finished with a clear, protective, anti-tarnish coating and comes in one of our branded gift boxes.

We exhibit and sell our jewellery through quality Craft/Design centres and Art galleries throughout the U.K. and the Dazzle contemporary jewellery exhibitions. We also feature in the Craft Council's Directory of Makers.
