These fish earrings have been designed and handmade by us in our workshop in Yorkshire. The technique used is an ancient Korean one called Keum boo, where 24 carat gold is fused into sterling silver at a high temperature. The fish design is embossed by hand into the silver, the gold is applied, it is oxidised and then certain areas are polished to create the finished image. The earrings hang on sterling silver ear wires, which are also made by us. Although these are long earrings they are lightweight and easy to wear. We also make a matching brooch which can be seen below, in our related products section.
We exhibit and sell this range of jewellery through quality Craft and Design centres and Art galleries throughout the U.K. We also sell our work through the Dazzle contemporary jewellery exhibitions.
These Keum boo fish earrings have been finished with a clear, protective, anti-tarnish coating and they come in one of our quality, branded gift boxes.
Materials, sterling silver, 24ct.gold.
Size, 16mm x 40mm.
Total drop length, 64mm
