Product Description

These wonderful, unique earrings are made from African blackwood, silver, 18 carat gold and an emerald gemstone. This wonderful, one-off piece of work has been handmade by John. The surface of the sterling silver has been hand punched with numbers and symbols and geometrical lines have been scribed onto the surface and an emerald gemstone has been set in 18 carat gold. The surface has then been textured to give it an aged look. The sterling silver disc has been set into an African blackwood turned back and the earring disc has been cut into two asymmetrical halves to create the earrings. The earrings measure 36mm in diameter, when together and the ear wires are sterling silver.

The display stand is also made from African blackwood and sterling silver. The same techniques as for the earrings have been applied to the sterling silver top. The centre of the wood has been cleverly turned, so that the earring wires can be stored secretly under the earrings when on display. The display box measures 6cm x 6cm and it is 16mm tall.
